Why Insurance Patients Still Choose to Join Us

Even though we no longer accept insurance payments directly, many patients with private health insurance continue to choose The London Physio - and here’s why:

  • Flexible Appointment Lengths Tailored to You

We don’t limit your appointment time. Whether you need a quick 15-minute check-in or a thorough 90-minute session, the choice is yours. Some patients even book 2-hour sessions for extended soft tissue work or to address multiple areas in one visit. This flexibility ensures you get the care you need, without feeling rushed.

  • Comprehensive Equipment Provided

When you join one of our packages, we provide all the physiotherapy equipment you might need-from our own branded mats and foam rollers to resistance bands and massage balls. For virtual patients in the UK, we’ll post this equipment directly to your home so you can follow your program with confidence and convenience.

  • Ongoing Support Between Sessions

We offer add-on options giving you direct access to your physiotherapist between appointments via our secure app. Plus, with Physitrack, you get video demonstrations of all your exercises, personalised programs, and tools to track your progress, pain scores, and journal entries. This keeps you accountable and engaged throughout your rehabilitation journey.

  • Extended Availability, Including Weekends and Bank Holidays

Our clinic is open 7 days a week, including bank holidays and weekends, so you can book appointments around your busy schedule. Out-of-hours sessions (outside 9 am–5 pm) are available for a small additional fee of £45.

  • Home, Work, or Residential Visits

We bring the clinic to you! For home visits, we bring a professional massage table and create a comfortable treatment space in your living room. We also offer visits to workplaces or residential homes for the elderly, providing care wherever you need it most.

  • Flexible Packages and Memberships

Our tiered membership packages offer flexible payment options and can be shared with family members or work colleagues, making physiotherapy more accessible and affordable for your household or team.

Why We Left Insurance Companies

We made the decision to stop working directly with insurance companies so we could better serve our patients-offering flexible, convenient, and high-quality care without compromise. This independence allows us to tailor treatments exactly to your needs, provide longer and more comprehensive sessions, and support you fully throughout your recovery.

If you have any questions about how this works with your insurance or want to learn more about our services, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help you take control of your health on your terms.

Important Information for Insurance Patients

Our Current Policy (Effective Now)

Please note: We no longer accept insurance patients directly. This means:

  • We do not bill insurance companies on your behalf.

  • We do not follow insurance fee schedules or reduced rates.

  • All patients must pay in advance for their sessions at our full self-funding rates.

  • You are responsible for confirming with your insurance provider whether they reimburse you for self-funded sessions.

  • We are no longer affiliated with any insurance companies.

If you plan to use insurance reimbursement, please ensure your policy allows you to pay upfront and claim later. If your insurer does not reimburse you fully or partially, this does not affect your contract with us-we cannot refund or mediate with your insurer.

What This Means for You

  • Insurance companies often limit coverage to a certain number of sessions or require a doctor’s referral.

  • Some insurers, such as BUPA, only reimburse physiotherapists within their network (which we are not part of).

  • Insurance generally covers attended sessions only.

  • Missed or cancelled sessions within 48 hours incur full cancellation fees.

  • Insurance typically does not cover:

    • Prepaid sessions not yet attended (including packages).

    • Use of branded or third-party physiotherapy equipment billed separately.

    • Other additional services we provide.

Please clarify your insurance coverage before booking to avoid unexpected costs.

Our Previous Insurance Policy (For Reference)

Until recently, we accepted some insurance patients and were registered with several major insurance providers. Under that policy:

  • We could bill some insurers directly, or you might pay upfront and claim reimbursement.

  • You were required to inform us of your insurance company and coverage details at booking.

  • Insurance coverage limits, excess payments, and referral requirements applied.

  • You were responsible for confirming your insurance agreement.

  • If insurance did not cover your sessions, you were liable for full self-paying fees.

  • Missed or cancelled sessions within 48 hours were charged at full rate.

  • Discount codes did not apply to insurance-covered sessions.

  • We could not negotiate or communicate with insurers on your behalf.

Payment & Cancellation Terms (Applies to All Patients)

  • All invoices are due immediately upon receipt unless otherwise specified.

  • If payment is not received within 24 hours, we will charge the card on file.

  • Failed payments incur a £20 late fee per attempt.

  • Unpaid invoices may be sent to collections, with all associated costs charged to you.

  • If we cancel your appointment within 48 hours, you will not be charged, and we will try to reschedule or reimburse you.

  • Cancellation fees apply if you miss or cancel within 48 hours.

Summary & Final Notes

  • We no longer accept insurance patients directly.

  • All patients pay in advance at full self-funding rates.
